Yogara provides a holistic yoga experience with Mindful Vinyasa Flow and Restorative Classes for beginners.
One-to-one, with a partner, in a group or as part of a community event for up to 30 people, in the privacy of your home, school, community centre or office.
The key to a holistic yoga practice is a state of mindfulness (you in your body, in a pose and aware of your breath), cultivating a sense of ease in both active or passive poses and improving flexibility and strength when practiced on a regular basis (3-5 times a week).
It is not an alternative to traditional medicine; however, research indicates that a regular practice will have a positive impact on your daily life.
I first experienced the benefits of yoga in the 90’s when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter. However, with young children, a busy career, and no classes near my home, I struggled to practice regularly. I was re-introduced to a more regular practice by an incredible teacher called Sarah Cahill. Sarah’s teaching was very different from my early experiences, with a much stronger focus on mindfulness. I began to feel the benefits, almost immediately, of a mindful yoga experience.
Inspired, I enrolled in an Intensive Teacher Training Course with an equally inspirational teacher, Vidya Jacqueline Heisel. I qualified as a yoga teacher in 2015 and have been teaching weekly classes since, first in the UK and now in MD, US.
